How we secure your transfers
The specific technical and operational safeguards behind TuFamilia.
Encryption in transit and at rest
Every connection between your device and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Transaction records, uploaded documents, and database backups are encrypted at rest on our managed infrastructure.
Isolated access controls
Your transactions, saved recipients, and support messages are only visible to you and the agent assigned to your transfer. Access is enforced at the database level with row-level security policies.
We do not hold your funds
Your CAD is sent directly from your bank to our banking partner via Interac e-Transfer. Once received, it is converted and disbursed within one business day. TuFamilia does not custody customer balances.
Transparent exchange rates
Every rate we publish is stamped with its source and last-updated time. The rate displayed when you initiate a transfer is the rate used for that transaction — no surprise markups.
Auditable record-keeping
Transaction records are retained for the period required by Canadian record-keeping law and can be produced upon lawful request. Personal information you submit is subject to our Privacy Policy.

If you have found a security issue, email hello@tufamilia.ca with "Security" in the subject line. We investigate every report and aim to respond within 72 hours.
