1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TuFamilia ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service.
2. Description of Service
TuFamilia is a money transfer service that allows users in Canada to send funds to recipients in Venezuela. You send Canadian dollars (CAD) via Interac e-Transfer, and your recipient receives the equivalent amount in Venezuelan bolivares (Bs) directly to their bank account. We strive to process transfers quickly, though delivery times may vary depending on verification requirements and banking conditions.
3. Eligibility
To use TuFamilia, you must: - Be at least 18 years of age - Be a resident of Canada - Have a valid Canadian bank account that supports Interac e-Transfer - Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
4. Account Registration
To send money through TuFamilia, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@tufamilia.ca if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Fees and Exchange Rates
TuFamilia does not charge separate transaction fees. Our service margin is included in the exchange rate displayed to you. The rate you see at the time of your transfer is the rate you get — no hidden fees, no surprises. Exchange rates are updated regularly and may fluctuate based on market conditions.
6. Transfer Limits and Processing
Transfer limits apply to all transactions. Current limits are displayed during the transfer process. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time. Most transfers are processed within minutes during business hours. However, some transfers may require additional verification, which could extend processing times. We will notify you if additional information is needed.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use TuFamilia for: - Any illegal or fraudulent activity - Money laundering or terrorist financing - Transfers on behalf of third parties without proper authorization - Circumventing transfer limits by using multiple accounts - Any activity that violates applicable Canadian or international laws We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited activities.
8. Limitation of Liability
TuFamilia provides the Service on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. We are not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions, network outages, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount of the specific transaction in question.
9. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
